Who among you are using an op-amp as a differential amplifier to convert a sensor output to an appropriate input? I need help. I tried it for the first time and it works exactly as expected but for some reason the output won’t go below .569 volts. I got LM358DR2G. Is it because my chip is bad?

More precisely, it is possible that the first time you tried it, the output of the opamp was driving just your voltmeter. Do you have additional circuitry connected to the output of our opamp? That could be loading it and preventing it from swinging closer to the negative rail.
