Hi, I have found it pretty common in your parts for silkscreen to overlap copper parts on a footprint. I have never seen it done this way, will the board house correct for that? It seems sloppy?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your question. The silkscreen does not overlap copper on the part you referenced.
I think your confusion (at least with the part you referenced) is that you're referring to the document layer. Turn off this layer (Layer 51 in Eagle) and you'll see that the silkscreen does not overlap copper.
There is actually an automated check you'll see on each part page (scroll down to the Trusted Data section) that checks for this. This way you'll see at a glance whether any silkscreen overlaps any copper pads.
If I have misunderstood, please point me to a better example. Additionally, if you let us know which design tool you're using I can investigate further as well.
Many thanks for your question and I hope that clarifies!
