How do you import a 3D model into KiCad?

you should go in your pcb design which includes all the parts of the board.... write click on the component which u want to add 3d model and choose properties ... open a setting windows ... choose the 3rd tab at the top which is corresponded to its 3d model ... and import ur 3d model ... my 3d model was designed by freecad sw and I had saved it in .step file ... as soon as I importet the model ... it apear in the 3d model of the pcb element and with the left side tool you can adjust the model into the existing part
