Natasha, the Altium plugin works np. I want to know if I am doing the process correctly.
The Snapeda icon does not load in my file menu. To use the plugin, I navigate to the folder where I unziped the Altium plugin which in my case is the "Mood Button" folder. Each time I want to use the plugin, I go to the DXP and run the script. Your plugin loads. I find my part, then the lia file is placed in the same folder, then I use the import wizard. Right? This works.
When the plugin loads, it says first part and I don't see where I can login as 57starchief. So I get the 1st part dialogue.
I can do the same by just logging in, searching for the part, downloading and using the import wizard.
I am sure I am missing something about using the plugin?

Are you saying that the plugin doesn't really have much functionality over and above the main SnapEDA website? If yes, then you're correct, it's basically just a way to search without leaving Altium. You do need to visit SnapEDA to actually download. However, this was just a beta, and we're working on an update to allow for much much more functionality, including user authentication and download from within the plugin. So it will get better! Of course, any ideas you have are welcome as well. I don't have a timeline right now, but we do have a working version of our next release that we're testing here.

The download feature is useful, but then i need to go through the import process as well?
This needs to automatically generate a usable part i don't need to import, or it has no benefit over using the website.
