allegro_builder fails after latest Orcad hotfix

0

I have been using OrCAD Capture/PCB Designer and the allegro footprint builds from snapeda have been working fine. Today I installed the 17.20.27 hotfix and all the footprints fail to build. I think it is actually the creation of the pad that fails because I end up with the dra file but no pads.

The error is: "SOLDERMASK_BOTTOM: Pad size is zero." One error for each pad that it tries to create.

This error is occuring on about 6 parts that I have down loaded. I installed 17.2 on another machine but did not install the hotfix and all the parts build on that machine just fine.

Any idea how to fix the script to run under the 17.20.27 hotfix?

Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike,

Thanks for waiting for us. We have fixed this OrCAD/Allegro issue. As you know, the issue was that the .pad file was not being created after running Allegro-builder.bat for all the through-hole parts but this is working now. Please try to download the parts again.

Thank you so much for your time and your understanding.

I just downloaded the EK-TM4C123GXL footprint for OrCAD/Allegro V17 and received the same error as before.

The error is: "SOLDERMASK_BOTTOM: Pad size is zero." One error for each pad that it tries to create.

Any idea about a workaround?

Thank you,
Mike

I just upgraded to the latest hotfix, 17.2-2016 S032 [1/8/2018] and get the same result. If I follow the script and do each of the commands by hand the pads are created just fine so I can move on.
