  • Alternative symbol for SMARC

Alternative symbol for SMARC

0

This is layout and schematic symbol for MM70-314-310B1-2-R300 which has 4 pins missing and some other pins connected together for MXM3.0.

Same connector may be used for SMARC, there all 314 pins are separate. Unfortunately the footprint pattern has not been published by JAE.

Would it be possible to get such alternative library?

The other problem is that the library you provide at the moment is broken in kidad 7.0.10 anyway. Pins part A shifted vs. the yellow rectangle. Part C not filled with yellow. Looks ugly.

I may provide snapshot. [email protected]

Have you tried enabling the expanted pin feature for KiCad? You can follow these steps: https://support.snapmagic.com/en/articles/3161304-how-to-customize-your-downloaded-schematic-symbols-for-kicad

If you still need an alternative symbol and footprint, please send us an email to [email protected] with detailed information of the part!

Hope this helps!

Hello again,

This is Carlos stepping in for Antonio, thanks for patiently waiting. Our team couldn't replicate the issue as the symbol shows properly on our end, and our symbol & footprint is based on JAE datasheet version 1, where the power supply pins have been combined with large pads by the manufacturer.

This means that Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 are connected for 5V, Pins 11, 13, 15, and 17 are connected for GND, and Pins 278 and 280 are connected for 3V3 connections. Therefore, we have also used one pin for each connection in our symbol following the datasheet. Connector pin-out can be reviewed from section 3.2.

The 314 pin variant of MXM3 connector can also be found at the equivalent part below. Please reach back if you have any other questions, we'd be happy to help!
