Hi SnapEDA team,
I tried to upload my own eagle parts to this site but I've failed.
I've chosen the option: "Upload an Eagle library (.LBR) file and the SnapEDA bot will do the rest."
I was able to upload a .lbr file, but then I've got an 404 error.
So I tried the other option: "Upload an individual Eagle schematic symbol and/or layout footprint."
I also uploaded the same .lbr file twice and selected symbol and footprint once.
Now there are one footprint and one symbol in the my parts section, but I'm unable to download one of my own parts for any software (eagle, altium etc). It says "Converting the selected part." for serveral days now.
Is there something wrong with my workflow?

(here is also something wrong with this Q&A section, it automatically changed all upper-case letters into lower-case letters in my previous post)

Upon upload, it should unpack the file instantly so if it is not doing that then there is an issue. We'll look into why the upload is failing; however, overall we have deprioritized the upload functionality for a few reasons. First, we're trying to focus our development efforts on the download process as much as possible, so making sure you can always find a part when you need it in your EDA format of choice. Secondly, we decided to move away from crowdsourcing components in favour of automating content, to provide more standardization. May I ask the motivation for wanting to upload content? Is it that you want to convert from one format to another? This will help in our prioritization.
Thanks!
Natasha

(Capitalization issue you mentioned should also now be fixed)

Hi Natasha, thank you for the answer.
Your are right, I want to upload content to convert it from one (eagle) format to all the others. We are developer of communication modules and think that your service could be a good basis to provide footprints and symbols to our customers for all the different EDA formats.

Our new version coming out this month might be a more ideal solution for this as it allows you to have private libraries which can be batch exported. I'll follow up with you via email with more information tomorrow.
