Hello everyone.
Our company is planning to use this part (the Rigado BMD-340 module) in a project. We need to design this module on to a custom PCB. To do this, do we need to add an external 32.768KHz cap? Or is this already included in the module?
Thanks.

Hello Jeff,
The BMD-340 (and all of the BMD-2xx and -3xx modules) do not include the 32.768KHz crystal or the loading capacitors. That gives you a minimal BoM option if you use the internal RC oscillator.
Adding the LF crystal and loading capacitors will save a little power over the RC oscillator, though.
BLE is generally OK without the crystal. Other protocols, such as ANT+ *do* require the crystal as it needs tighter tolerance.
