Error in Altium Designer

-2

When I use Altium Designer to open the footprint, an error appears. "Access violation at address 5A970A8A in module 'LoadAccel.iwz', Read of address 00001038 at 5A970A8A."
How can I deal with it?

Hello everyone!

It looks like more people are having this issue. The email says that if closing and reopening the program doesn't work, the best way to deal with this type of problems is reinstalling Altium.

Please try that and let us know if you are still having the problem. TianjieQiao was able to fix it by reinstalling Altium.

Hi Jose,

Have you tried restarting your Altium software? If it did not work, try Re-installing your Altium software. This is caused by a corrupt registry in Altium.

Let us know if it worked on your end.

Hi Belalmostafa, have you tried re-installing the plugin and/or Altium? Usually it has to do with a corrupt registry.

If I close the program and open the file there's no problem. But if I opened the file and my program is already opened, the problem occurs

Hi maperez15,

The access violation error is caused by a corrupted registry in your Altium software. What i can suggest right now is to reinstall your Altium software. Just make sure that you completely uninstall it before reinstalling.

Thanks

Hello everyone,

It appears that you have to completely uninstall your version, as it has a corrupted registry. You need to ensure it is completely uninstalled, then try again. If none of the attempts work, please find a new installer at https://www.altium.com/es/products/downloads, and do it again.

Please get back to us if you have any other questions, we'd be glad to help!

I also got the same problem.

You guys should try this!

"I have Alitum20, I simply open my project in earlier version that was Altium19, made a few changes and then save it.
Then open the project in Alitum20 and it worked"
