Hi, why is 3D model for DIP but its footprint is for SMD?

We were able to reproduce the issue with SN74HC08NSRG4—the 3D model was incorrectly set to a DIP package instead of SMD. This occurred because the 3D model for this part was linked to this part page through an algorithm based on the package details, so it wasn’t verified against the datasheet. Rest assured that we are working on making this algorithm more precise.

That said, our team has now updated the 3D model for this component. You may download it again and use it in your designs.

OK, thanks for your responsing. My means was about SN740CH8. It's an AND gate IC with 4 and gate. Most of 3D models are different with their 3D models.
