How can I install the snapeda add-in in Fusion 360 Electronics on Macos?

1

Hello,

The title says it... The links pointed to as install guide seem broken (e.g. this one: https://support.snapeda.com/en/articles/5015445-how-to-install-autodesk-fusion-360-plugin-on-mac). I managed to download the .dmg but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Do you have any advice?

Thanks+regards,
g

Hi Ron,

thanks for your speedy response. I think these instructions may need updating.

How to install section:
Macos is set to allow apps from App Store and Identified Developers. Point 4 doesn't happen. Point 5 does nothing.
Only after changing the permissions of SnapEDA Installer.app to 777 it worked.

In the section on how to enable the add-in in Fusion:
There is no Utilities Menu in my up-to-date Fusion (I'm not very familiar w Fusion yet, I only came for the Electronics part).
Seems that you have to open a design space and only then will find the add-in under the Tools tab. No further action was required.

Anyway, it's working now. Thanks!

g

The link came up in the google search. It's also in some community chats on Fusion.
