Hello everyone,
I would like to understand how to run the Allegro script file, I am having issues when running it and can't figure it out on my own.
Thanks,
Jason

Hello Jason,
Thanks for your message! Which OrCAD/Allegro version are you using? After downloading a component from SnapEDA, you’ll see a folder containing several files. The .edf file is for the symbol. The rest of the files are used to generate the footprint. To import the footprint simply double click on the batch file. After doing so, a dialog may popup that this is an unknown application. Click on More Info and Run anyway to run the batch file. Click yes to accept the dimension change, then select the Allegro version you’re importing into.
This video shows the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=43&v=jcfKlL2dORg but if you are using OrCAD/Allegro 16.6 or a newer version we run the batch file for you so you just have to click on the DRA file and it will open directly.
