Great question. No, it's not normal, but it's not a problem with the footprint, but rather our online renderer which appears to over-sizing the pads.

I opened up the footprint in Eagle, and it has clearance. Here is what I see in Eagle: http://imgur.com/a/PmCOD

We're actually right in the middle of making updates to our online renderer, so will make sure this gets addressed. Thanks for letting us know!

haha You are welcome. The footprint is fine when I open it as .lib file format in Eagle. However, it still overlap if I add the component in my circuit .sch file. The main difference is the size of pads.

Sorry for the slow reply, but wanted to respond in case others have the issue. This is likely due to your design rules. Once placed in the layout, they pads may inherit the design rules overriding the pad dimensions defined. I would check your design rule settings if you experience this again.
