Upon checking the part again, we noticed that there are 2 part numbers for this family. One is VEML7700-TR which is a side-mount and the other one is VEML7700-TT which is a top mount.

The footprint for both parts is correct. I have sent an email along with some screenshots to you to give you a further explanation of the footprint with the 3D model.
