Unable to install plugin in KiCAD 6.0

0

I followed the instructions, and I downloaded SnapEDA-KiCad-Plugin. I have created a folder named .kicad_plugins, then extract the snapeda_plugin.py
In KiCad, I click on Edit PCB, but I see no option to follow up the last instruction "PCB new". I can't get to
the "Tools -> External Plugins -> Refresh Plugins"
Please advise,
Valentin

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out. The SnapEDA plugin is currently compatible with KiCad versions up to v5.1.10. As KiCad has recently released its stable version 6.0 we would like to confirm that our team is working on ensuring compatibility for newer versions.

However, if you are using Windows, you can also use the SnapEDA Desktop App whose latest version is compatible with KiCad v6, this way you will be able to add the parts directly into your library in KiCad.

You can find our Desktop App download here: https://support.snapeda.com/en/articles/5599920-snapeda-desktop-app

Please let me know if you have any further questions. We are happy to help!

Thanks,
Carlos from the SnapEDA team
