Why is the schematic symbol's pin names having all the alternate pin functions?

0

I'm asking because maybe I am simply using the symbol wrong, but there are seemingly 5 parts to the symbol, but the creator didn't separate them into units. The creator also gave each pin name a label with every possible pin function, making the size of each part huge. Combine this with the fact that the symbol wasn't broken up into units, and suddenly the symbol is the size of an entire schematic.
